Many students today spend a lot of time on their smartphones. They use them to chat with friends, watch videos and play games. However, a recent study shows that spending too much time on smartphones can cause problems. Students who use their phones for more than four hours a day often get lower grades and feel more tired in class.

Dr. Wang, a researcher from a university, suggests that students should control their screen time. He says that students can put their phones in another room while doing homework, and they can also set a fixed time for using phones every day. Besides, taking part in outdoor activities is a good way to reduce phone use.

Some students have already tried these suggestions. Li Ming, a ninth-grade student, says that he now spends only one hour a day on his phone. He feels more energetic and does better in his studies. "I have more time to talk with my family and read books," he says. "My life is much richer than before."
